About the event

Explore the art of slow motion - a meditative dance journey

The Setting

Imagine your body on the cool ground, resting. Your eyes adjusting to the candlelight. Then stillness slowly finding motion as you let the gentle musical sounds reverberate through the ground into your cells.

Moving with pristine presence you drop more and more into your body, attuning to the rhythm of your own being. Moment to moment to moment. Being with whatever arises from inside.

You find yourself in a very relaxed and trance-like state as Chloé meditatively guides you into the timeless.

The Intention

E:Motion is a somatic exploration of the self, finding out how your body wants to move, what it wants to express with sound or motion. Does it want to connect in dance with other bodies in the space or remain solo? Experience a playful exploration of authentic movement - without rules.

This is a cozy, intimate dance container, welcoming all parts of you. A comfortable dark and candle lit space to safely move with all that wants to be expressed, without speaking but not necessarily silent :)

Welcoming all genders and abilities.

This form of dance is inspired by 'Underbelly' the work of the gifted Amy Rugg, a San Francisco-based somatic movement artist and a dear friend of mine who has given me permission to share her work with the Basel Community.
